The Singapore Chamber Music Festival — is where music lovers, students of music and top chamber musicians come together to Connect, Share, and Celebrate over the joys of chamber music.
Singapore Chamber Music Festival 2026
The Singapore Chamber Music Festival (SCMF) is a festival where music lovers, students of music, and top chamber musicians come together to Connect, Share, and Celebrate the joy of chamber music. Just as the inaugural festivals in 2003 and 2005 brought together international and local artists such as the Boston Brass, Australian String Quartet, and T’ang Quartet to perform, and share their skills and experience in workshops, masterclasses, SCMF 2026 will feature top musicians from USA, UK, Japan and Singapore.
An important part of the festival will be a Chamber Music Academy (CMA), where amateur musicians of all ages and abilities will perform and get coaching from the festival faculty.
To be held biennially, the festival seeks to be an inclusive meeting place, where renowned local and international chamber musicians and keen amateurs can connect, share in the camaraderie of chamber music, and celebrate great music performed at its highest level. Join us on this exciting journey!
The 2026 Edition | 25 March - 5 April 2026
SCMF partners with Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music to introduce the Advanced Quartet Program in the second half of the festival. The AQP is an intensive week-long programme targeted at pre-conservatory and conservatory-level string quartets.
Designed for those with a serious ongoing interest in chamber music, AQP participants will go through a rigorous schedule of study with world-renowned chamber musicians in a uniquely supportive environment. Participating quartets focus on one to two major works while learning the art of working together as a string quartet.
The AQP culminates in a showcase concert, providing these ensembles with a valuable opportunity to refine their artistry and present their work on a prominent platform. Places for AQP are limited and submitted applications will go through a selection process. Selected quartets will be notified by email. ASEAN and International quartets are welcome to apply for the AQP.
